About us

Every other ESA site we looked at made the same promise: register here, get instant “legal rights.” None of that is true, and pretending otherwise doesn’t help anyone. It just sets people up to get turned away by a landlord or gate agent who knows the law better than the certificate did. We built ESA Animal Registration to do the one thing that’s actually useful, a real and verifiable ID card, without the legal fiction bolted on top.

Say what’s true

No ADA claims for ESAs, no “bypass all fees” promises. If a landlord or airline can say no, we tell you that up front.

Make it verifiable

Every ID has a lookup number anyone can check, not just a PDF with a serial number that means nothing.

Point to the real thing

If you need actual FHA housing protection, we say so, and connect you with a licensed clinician for a real letter.

Why this site exists

Search for ESA registration and you land in an industry built on a single false premise: that a database entry creates a legal right. It does not. There is no government registry of emotional support animals in the United States. No certificate, card, vest or registration number obliges anyone to do anything. What actually carries weight in housing is a letter from a clinician licensed in your state, and that is a clinical document, not a purchase.

The result is predictable. People pay for a certificate, present it to a leasing office, and discover the leasing office knows more about the Fair Housing Act than the company that sold them the certificate did. Then they are out the money and no closer to keeping their animal.

We think there is a narrow, honest version of this product, and that it is worth building properly rather than leaving the whole category to the people currently running it.

What we actually sell

What you get

  • An ID card, digital or physical, that identifies your animal as one you have registered.
  • A lookup number a third party can check against our records, so the card can be confirmed rather than merely displayed.
  • An optional consultation with a clinician licensed in your state, if you need the document that carries actual housing weight.
  • A library of articles that tells you when you do not need to buy anything.

What you do not get, from us or anyone

  • Any right under the Fair Housing Act, the ADA or the Air Carrier Access Act.
  • Guaranteed acceptance by a landlord, an airline, a hotel or a shop.
  • Certification, licensing, or government recognition of any kind.
  • A letter, in exchange for money, without an evaluation.

How we hold ourselves to it

Saying you are the honest one is free, so we wrote down the rules and made them checkable.

Who’s behind this

ESA Animal Registration is a Texas business, operating from 771 Virgil St, Abilene, TX 79602, reachable on +1 (325) 324-5664. That is a real address and a real phone, which is more than most of this industry publishes, and it is where responsibility for everything on this site sits.

The clinicians who carry out evaluations are named, with their credentials and a public profile each, on our clinicians. They also carry the bylines on the blog, and every article names the one who reviewed it. Nobody on this site is a stock photo with an invented credential under it.
